Spring Festival ’11 Stallion Parade: Musical Ride

The day was calm and dry with occasional sunshine as fifty Connemara Pony stallions- including several young newly- passed fledglings from Friday’s Inspections- paraded singly and in groups in Ring One on the Sunday, the final day of the 2011 Spring Festival.  These stallions filled the eye and looked wonderful and the commentary was at all times clear and comprehensive.  The Cleggan Beach Musical Ride, now eight of them, all local riders, including one man for the first time, performed at lunch time and  delighted the assembled crowd.  All in all a most enjoyable weekend for those lucky enough to be there and Niamh’s Weblog captured some photos.  Owners names are given.
